About Me
Go Green! Go White!
When I decided to attend Michigan State University, I had no idea how much I would love and cherish my time there. I met several of my best friends in my time at MSU and we all remain Spartan fans through-and-through. I love spending my Saturdays watching the football team, and staying up way too late watching basketball during the winter. Even when our teams are not at their best, I will always love my Spartans!
Teddy
This is a picture of my sweet and loving dog Teddy. He unfortunately passed away recently, but he is still a huge part of who I am. One of my passions in life is rescuing animals, particularly dogs. My family rescued Teddy from a racetrack in Alabama. There are so many dogs out there, like Teddy, who need a home, so I always try to spread the message to adopt!
My Family
This is a picture of my immediate family. I have an older sister named Hannah, a younger brother named Hayden, and two amazing parents. I consider myself to be very lucky because of how close I am with my family.
My Happy Place
I love to spend time outside, especially in the summer. My favorite summer activity is to spend the whole day on the lake and witness great sunsets like these! This picture was taken at a family friend's house on Lake Shannon in Fenton, Michigan.
How I Spend My Time
One of my hobbies is physical activity in general. I currently take boxing classes four to five times a week and I am really enjoying it. About two years ago I did my first triathlon and my mom did it right along with me! The picture is of us after finishing the race. It was difficult, but rewarding!
My Best Friend
This is a picture of me with my sister. She is a huge part of my life and my very best friend. I spend the majority of my freetime with her and her dog Lua.
My Travels
When I was in college I had the opportunity to study abroad in Rome. This was one of the best experiences of my life and definitely gave me the travel bug. Although traveling is a little tough right now, I have a growing list of places I would like to visit someday. The Grand Canyon and Switzerland are at the top of the list!
Rhode Island
I was born in Rhode Island and spent a good portion of my childhood there. When I was about nine years old I moved to Connecticut. My family did not move to Michigan until I was headed into eighth grade. I never thought that I would want to stay in one place for the rest of my life, but now I cannot picture myself leaving Michigan. It has definitely become home. This is a picture of my sister and I checking out where we used to moor our boat in Rhode Island. We hadn't been back to see it in years. As much as I love Michigan lakes, I miss the ocean!
What I Love
I have loved working with kids since I was a child myself. I remember when my baby brother was born, I always wanted to help take care of him in any way possible. Over the years, I came to realize just how much of a passion I had for working with kids which eventually led me to teaching. I even spend my summers off nannying and tutoring for families in my area. This picture is of me and my friend's son Liam the first time I got to meet him.
